Equipment Responsibility & Damage Policy

Guests are responsible for looking after our picnic equipment during the entirety of their booked time slot. We ask that you do not leave picnic set ups unattended at any time during your picnic. If you wish to leave early for any reason, please inform one of our event coordinators, and we will return to your location to break down the picnic early.

Guests are responsible for returning ALL items used during their picnic in their original condition and are liable for any damage caused to our picnic equipment during their booking that goes beyond basic wear and tear. (ie. Stains from prohibited foods/drinks, defaced or torn/ripped pillows or blankets, stolen or lost picnic items such as cutlery, napkins, decor etc.) 

Food & Drink Policy

Customers are welcome to bring their own food and drink to their picnic, however we do have some restrictions. We do not allow ANY red wine or red coloured drinks of any kind. We do not allow any foods that contain turmeric/curry staining foods. This is to preserve our linens, blankets and pillows. If these types of food/drinks are brought in and cause any stains or mess, you will be responsible for paying for a replacement.

Weather Policy

We do not set up picnic events when it is pouring raining or thunder-storming. If it is raining on the day of your scheduled event, you may reschedule your event to another date at no extra cost or penalty. If you choose to cancel (and not reschedule) your event due to weather related issues, your deposit will be forfeited.

We reserve the right to cancel any event (with little or no notice) due to unsafe weather conditions. This includes rain/storms, high winds, or extreme cold (Valid for Winter Wonderland Bubble Picnics).

Payment and Booking Policy

In order to secure your booking with us, we require a $50 non refundable deposit made via E-Transfer to Lakesidecitypicnics.co@gmail.com. Once you have secured your booking with the deposit, the remainder of your payment is due no less than 48 hours before the date of your event. Failure to pay the remainder of your invoice within this 48 hour window will result in an automatic cancellation of your event and will also forfeit your deposit.

Rescheduling/Cancellations & Late Policy

Booking schedule changes may be made up to 15 days prior to your event without penalty. There will be a $75 re-booking fee for changes made inside 15 days and 7 days prior to your event. Cancellations made within 48 hrs of the event are considered “No-Shows”. “No-Shows” forfeit their paid amount including taxes and will not be credited for any future events.

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone events with little or no notice due to weather related incidents or other circumstances beyond our control.

Refunds

All deposits made to Lakeside City Picnics are non-refundable. If you cancel your event and choose not to re-book for a later date with us, you forfeit your deposit.

Photography

We reserve the right to use any photos posted, tagged or sent directly to us from our picnic events on our social media accounts and other published materials such as our website, ads, printed material, etc.

By participating in a Lakeside City Picnics Event or by failing to notify Lakeside City Picnics, in writing, of your desire to not have your photos used by Lakeside City Picnics you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify Lakeside City Picnics from any and all claims involving the use of photos.
